Brandenburg Gate

Brandenburg Gate

This is Scott in front of the Brandenburg Gate. The Brandenburg Gate is actually covered in scaffolding which is covered in a hoarding showing an exact replica of the Brandenburg Gate. Confused? We were, but Scott probably wasn't.

Reichstag

Reichstag

Scott and Mummy in front of the Reichstag. We were going to go inside and go up the new dome thing but the huge queue put us off, so we just let Scott have a little run around in front of it instead.

Gendarmenmarkt

Gendarmenmarkt

Here's Scott getting in the way of tourists in "Berlin's most beautiful square" (according to our guidebook).

Scott compares the paving quality of the Gendarmenmarkt favourably with that of his native Whalley Range, based on his extensive close-up studies of the ground in both neighbourhoods

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

Berlin Zoo was fabulous, with lots of parkland and a great children's playground. Here Scott can be seen enjoying a "biscuit" (ie healthy oatcake) in front of the giraffe enclosure.

I wanna be a penguin

Scott was very impressed with the penguins at the zoo, so much so that he nearly jumped out of Dad's arms in an attempt to join them in the pool.
