This one sounds fragile

Since his first birthday, Scott has of course become an old hand at receiving presents. He knows that shaking them to see how they sound is an important part of the unwrapping process.

The Cake

Now that Mummy is in charge of updating Scott's web page, she is entitled to do things like include a picture of this cake just to show off how clever she is. The downside is that Scott now expects all birthday cakes to be Miffy ones, including his third one.

I'll huff and I'll puff

Scott blew out the candles on his cake (almost) without help this year. It was all going swimmingly until three days later, when we wanted to cut Miffy's face up and eat it. You can imagine how pleased Scott was about that.

The Centre of Attention (as usual)

At his birthday meal at Palmiro (Mummy and Daddy's local Slow Food establishment), Scott holds the family spellbound with witty anecdotes about what he did at nursery last week.
