Big Elephants

Big Elephants

I don't think Scott was very impressed with the elephants at Chester Zoo. They were a bit grey for him presumably. If they'd been pink elephants and maybe flying or something like that then surely that would be worth at least a smile. I suppose you could say that since he enjoyed the Millennium Dome he prefers white elephants.

Stripey Zebras

Stripey Zebras

The zebras at the zoo seem to be going down quite well since they are at least eliciting a smile. Dad doesn't look too impressed though. You may be wondering why we're all dressed for summer when it's obviously a very miserable day weather wise. As far as I can remember it was pretty warm in the rain and we don't really make Scott go out in a summer outfit just because it is August, regardless of the weather.

Tropicalia

Tropicalia

Scott's absolutely favourite part of Chester Zoo was the tropical fish house. The tanks had a small ledge, which he could stand on and he was completely engrossed. He screamed when he had to move on to the next tank a couple of times but after two or three he realised that there was another one to look at and just got very excited.

Reflections

Reflections

This picture was taken with the flash switched on so you can see Scott's reflection in the tank glass. You weren't supposed to hit the tank glass but Scott can't read so he just ignored that rule. They didn't explicitly state that you couldn't lick the tank. Scott's favourites tended to be the small fish and there was a tank of tropical fish that had a glowing neon and yellow stripe on them that were possibly the most exciting thing he's ever seen in his life.
