Baby Swing

Baby Swing

This is Scott playing on a swing which was in a small park next to the Orthodox Cathedral in Helsinki. This was probably Scott's highlight of Finland (rivalled only by the airport chair) and he returned a couple of times, having a great time on every visit.

Muumi Balloon

Muumi Balloon

When we visited the Moomin Museum in Tampere Scott wasn't too impressed. Possibly because the pictures were higher than he could see in his buggy. More likely because museums (even a Moomin Museum) are completely dull when your not quite eight months old. As a consolation Scott got a foil Muumi balloon which was loads and loads of fun. It managed to amuse for the next seven days (or the rest of the holiday) and nearly got dad killed on several occasions due to Scott's habit of dropping it in the middle of a busy road then screaming until the balloon was safely retrieved.

Sleep Drooler

Sleep Drooler

Scott drooled a lot when he was sleeping in Helsinki; notice the wet patch near his mouth. Since he got three new teeth there it's possibly not too surprising. Also notice that Scott' ssleeping in his nappy. An indication of how warm it was in friend Jani's city centre flat which Jani kindly let Scott stay in.

Jani Looking Cute

Jani Looking Cute

This is Jani carrying Scott in the lovely old merchant town of Poorvo. The reason Jani is carrying Scott is because Hanna though he would "look cute".

Picnic Rock

Picnic Rock

We were having a picnic on a small island in the bay at Helsinki and Scott being a sociable type joined in. This is my favourite picture of Scott from Finland.

Do I Have To Support The Dons Dad?

Do I Have To Support The Dons Dad?

Scott supports Aberdeen Football Club. Well, he will until he's old enough to decide for himself I suppose. Notice the cool Muumi biscuits. They don't taste too good but they certainly look good on a kitchen shelf.

Airport Travel

Airport Travel

At Manchester airport they let you take a baby's push-chair or buggy right up to the departure gate. In Helsinki airport they give you this wire chair thing which looks a bit like a customised supermarket trolley. Just as well since this was Scott's second highlight of Finland. I don't think this picture really captures just how happy Scott was in this contraption.
